Dr Peyman Sanjari Pirayvatlou

Dr Peyman Sanjari is a gastroenterologist who has cared for patients in Gonbad-e Kavus and across eastern Golestan for six years.

He studied medicine at Iran University of Medical Sciences and trained in internal medicine at Golestan University of Medical Sciences, finishing with first place in Iran's national board examination in internal medicine. He then placed second nationally in the entrance examination for gastroenterology subspecialty training and completed his subspecialty in gastroenterology and hepatology at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. He is a member of Iran's National Elites Foundation.

Gastroenterology puts a doctor close to one of medicine's newest frontiers. The trillions of microbes living in the gut affect digestion, immunity and how well people recover. In his practice, Dr Sanjari saw how much the gut shapes a person's health, and how hard it was for patients to find probiotic products they could trust: products that state the strain, guarantee the count and come from a known source.

His research has followed the same thread. In 2018 he co-authored a study with the Golestan Research Center of Gastroenterology and Hepatology comparing Helicobacter pylori treatments in patients with end-stage kidney disease: careful, practical work on making treatment work for patients who are often left out.

Dr Sanjari founded Aria Darou Qabus to put his knowledge and clinical experience to work on a larger scale and bring better healthcare to more people. The company makes probiotics to pharmaceutical standards, in Golestan, by people who answer for every batch.
